The aim of the Charlie Drum Corp is to provide a fun, faith-filled environment where children can grow musically, develop responsibility, and embrace Christian values through rhythm and teamwork. Our vision is to create a platform where young people can use music to serve, inspire, and connect with their communities.

Expectations for Participation

Your child must be of Pathfinder age at a minimum of 10 years old and be part of the Charlie Pathfinders Club.

A willingness to learn and develop skills on a chosen marching percussion instrument (e.g., snare, multi tom, or bass drum).

A positive and encouraging attitude toward both individual and team learning.

Ability to meet the physical demands of marching or standing for extended periods during practices and performances.

Commitment to fortnightly practice sessions (specific times to be confirmed) during school terms.

Daily home practice using materials provided by the leader team, supported by parental encouragement.

Participation in church and community events where the Drum Corp will perform.

Care and responsibility for all provided instruments and equipment.

Understanding that instrument damage due to misuse may incur replacement costs.

A shared instrument cost arrangement of up to $100 per child, with the remainder covered through fundraising or church support (details forthcoming).

Parents/guardians may occasionally need to assist with transport to events. Carpooling will be organised where possible.

*** Each child will receive a practice drum pad and sticks to begin their rhythmic journey.
